It’s pretty easy for adults to come up with a list of things to do around town in Breckenridge. Many of our guests have children traveling with them and we often hear “what do you recommend for our kids?” Well, we figure kids have a better idea of what are “fun” Breckenridge kids activities than we do! So we turned this page over to the kid that we travel with (with a little grammatical help from us). FYI – the kids responsible for this content range from 2 – 17, so we’ve got a pretty good range of things to try.
Summer Breckenridge Kids Activities
- Going on hikes in the beautiful mountains; we love seeing rainbows and all the wildlife
- Jumping from rock to rock across streams… it’s awfully cold if you miss one, though!
- Playing in the sand on the playground
- Playing baseball and football at the park
- Riding bikes, especially at the Bike Park in Frisco
- Skipping rocks on Maggie’s Pond
- Bubble balls on Maggie’s Pond
- Arcade at Eric’s on Main Street
- Fishing
- Collecting rocks
- Hot chocolate and lemon cake at the Starbucks on Main Street
Winter Breckenridge Kids Activities
- Hitting Quicksilver and then skiing and boarding down Peak 9. We also like to take the Super Connect to Peak 8 and then over to Peak 7 to get some of those runs in.
- Hot chocolate at The Maggie after a long day of skiing.
- Sledding! We’ll sled anywhere, but really like Carter Park since we can walk there
- Tubing is a ton of fun, but I wish they had all-day passes. An hour never seems like enough.
- Making snow angels outside the condo
- Ice skating! Our uncle was a hockey player, so it’s fun to learn hockey stops from him.
- S’mores at pretty much any fire we can find! We like the fire pit near Quandary Grill the best because we can all fit around the fire and share with new friends.
- Hot chocolate and lemon cake at the Starbucks on Main Street (they know they said this for summer, too… our kids really like lemon cake).
- Kids get cold in the winter, so be sure to check out our Beginner’s Ski Guide to help keep them warm.
